PromoMate respects your privacy and handles your information responsibly.
Who we are
PromoMate is operated by Terrence Curtis (ABN 92 165 688 378), an Australian sole trader. For information about your shoppers, we act on your behalf as your service provider.
Information we collect
When you connect your Shopify store, we access relevant store, product, order and sales information needed to provide PromoMate. We also collect information you provide when using the service or contacting support.
Product information can include titles, prices, stock levels and, where you have entered one in Shopify, the cost per item. We use it only to check a plan against your margins. We never change your store.
This includes Shopify customer identifiers linked to orders. We do not collect shoppers' names, email addresses, addresses or phone numbers.
If you upload an orders file on our website, we receive only order numbers, dates, amounts, discount codes and products. Customer names, emails, phones and addresses stay on your computer; customers are replaced by anonymous codes before upload.
This website uses Framer's built-in analytics.
How we use it
We use this information to deliver PromoMate, support your account, process purchases and improve service reliability. We do not sell your data.
Payment is handled by our payment provider; we never see card details. Your email address is used to sign you in and to send your reading. If you choose marketing emails, we also use it for those, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Security and storage
We use reasonable security measures and trusted service providers to operate PromoMate. Information may be processed or stored outside Australia, including in the United States.
Data retention
We retain information only as needed to provide the service and meet applicable obligations. When you uninstall PromoMate, we delete store data in accordance with our retention procedures and Shopify's requirements.
Uploads without a paid reading are deleted after 7 days. Findings you save (the words and counts, never your orders) stay until you delete them, or are removed automatically if you never confirm your email. You can delete everything at any time.
Your rights
You can contact us to request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law.
If you're a shopper at a merchant's store, please contact that merchant about your information. They pass requests to us through Shopify.
If you're not satisfied, contact us first. You may also contact your local privacy regulator.
